Snowed Under

" Faithful friends are with us no matter where we roam"
Dearest friends, once again it has been months since my last post.

"Onwards not backwards, is the way to go"
The New Year began with the death of a friend.
Hers was a painful 4 month battle with cancer.

"May the hand of a friend always be near you,
Their hearts full of warmth and gladness to cheer you!"
Today's shared smiles are tomorrow's memories. Friends bring a
special light into our lives don't they.
Sending you greetings of good wishes and hopes that this year brings you
happiness, good health and a peaceful  inspiring New Year!
love and light

I'm so very sorry about the loss of your friend. I, too, had that happen in January. It's different with a friend -- we have picked them, unlike family which we may or may not have chosen had blood not been part of it. The loss of a friend is also the loss of shared time, a past. May your memories help carry you through.

It's cold and snowy here, too. I sent my houseguest back on the road to London ON yesterday. I wouldn't have wanted to travel...

Hello !!!
I was thinking of you a few days ago. Thought how you must be busy and not blogging anymore. I am sorry to hear about your friend passing. Not easy and makes one think a lot about each day.

Hope you warm up soon. We've had lots of fog and moss but no snow.

Dear Anna, I am sorry for the loss of your friend. My dear sister departed of brain cancer 2 years ago. It was a very difficult time and still is for me. My husband left last August and I lost two good friends within the last six months. My daughter and grown up grandchildren are my rock, and the odd behaviour of my chickens. I had not realised it was non-hodgekins with you too. I left mine behind about 10 years ago and never thought of it again.
You did not make the big trip south this year??

Hi Anna. Missed you but glad you are busy and happy. I ended last year with the loss of my very best friend from forever. I know how it makes you feel. I miss her terribly. Seeing your sweet bird pics is a happy thing!

Thank goodness for our winter birds. Such joy they bring. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. I too have a good friend who is battling cancer. She just found out at Christmas. Oh it is a terrible sickness isn't it? And we can do nothing but sit and watch them.
Sending you big hugs!
