Cats Napping

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul
remains unawakened!"

As indoor cats my girls love to get outside
periodically for naps in the sunshine always
 supervised very closely by momma.
I set boundaries for them.

Great photos of your two black cats. I have trouble getting good ones of my grandson, Big Al.

Sweet photos but do tell. How do you supervise a cat once it's outside????

Annie:
I sit on a bench watching them and the minute they wander somewhere that is NOT ALLOWED I tap a straw broom beside them and they skiddadle back inside!
Babie knows her boundaries but my old girl Ms. Paisley attempts to get off the patio but never gets too far before the broom comes at her! Tough love at times but that's the trade off for getting outside the odd time. We are surrounded by the woods.I must watch them carefully!!!

So sweet! Apparently, one of my cats decided to nap in the nepeta, because they've made a nice little nesting place in the middle of it:)

Hi Anna, I loved your pictures and story of your beautiful black cats. A year ago we adopted an 8 week old boy and he is the sweetest, most affectionate cat I have ever had. I would love to be able to let them out a bit too, but I would have to supervise them like you do, but I am afraid one (the tortoise female) would slip away and I would have to chase her back. Pepper, our black cat has never been outdoors, but Piglet, the torty was rescued from the outdoors and she has strong desire to get outdoors again. Part of me really wants to let them bask in the sun on the patio like you do. But I'm afraid it will spell trouble.

Oh, they're looking good! I do love the purr factor -- isn't it the best?
