Outside my world now snow and ice.
The Lake is frozen.
Cold winds hiss throughout leafless trees
and the sky the color grey.
Wait a minute!
No winter Blah's here!
Inside I decorate my home with punches of
Spring color green!!
Adding Nature inspired elements gives my space
an organic character.
Touches of rustic texture
a burlap covered vase and natural twine
sits on top a slice of Birch.
*A Birch log I picked up in the woods.
Hubby cut it into slices for me.
Hubby cut it into slices for me.
Unexpected details..
clear glass vases, brass lamp and silver frames
gives a nice sparkle to this vignette!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..
I am surrounded by my punches of Spring green!
~
Tell me what you are doing to avoid the winter Blahs?
love and light

Dear Anna, thank you so much for your comment and congratulations.
I am very happy to hear that all is good with you!
I love your decorations and I enjoy seeing pictures from inside your home, which is really lovely.
It still seems to be very cold and winterly in your part of the world.
We are hoping that winter is over here soon - since yesterday we have beautiful weather with sunshine and blue skies and it is getting warmer each day. But it is still possible that it might be freezing again... :(
Have a good week, hugs, Monika
Beautiful decorating ideas Anna
Much love and many blessings........
soon Easter and spring I cannot wait.
Love Jeanne
I love it! As I look around, I realize I have a few Santas and Snowmen still standing sentry on window sills! Time to clear them out and add some green. Beautiful decorating, Anna.
Ha! Staying inside, that's what. No snow here but cold, and my ol'bones don't like cold. Even Ms. Wee won't stay out on the porch. She is spoiled, climate controlled. Love you Ms. Anna! Come on Spring!!!
I love your punches of green. It really brightens up and chases away the winter blues, doesn't it? xo Diana
Your touches of green are the perfect counterpart to the cold icy snow Anna! How fun to get little peeks into your home.
Hugs,
Penny
Anna, your home looks so beautiful with the punches of green and natural things like the birch wood added for spring. The colour certainly helps when it's still such a white world outside. Blessings. Pamela
Your home looks so calm and relaxing. I don't do anything except to enjoy the beauty of the snow. I know that in the heat of summer I will be wishing for colder weather.
Sorry to hear that you are snowed in. Your lovely bright colors inside are wonderful. I love them.
Me, we are cold but not snowy.
I'm recovering from my kidney surgery. Each day I get better. When this is all done, I'd love to go walk by the Ocean. Maybe pick up a few shells while I'm there.
Stay warm,
JC
We have had more snow this Winter than we have had in the last few years, and it is nice to see that you are bringing Spring into your home despite the weather. I love the green and the pretty hyacinth.
I'm not as imaginative as you, we took the easy way out and went to Jamaica to avoid the Winter blahs! ♥
I am inspired dear friend. All your touches of spring and sparkle most certainly help to push my winter blahs away. I love in particular your mantle. I certainly miss having you up the street so that I can personally take in all your creativity but having your blog is the next best thing.
Hugs and love, twt
Beautiful touches of nature in your home. I'm a big Birch fan, and love the rustic look thick slices of birch bring, especially with the burlap.
We are such Winter lovers ... no winter blahs here :-) The sun was just pouring into the kitchen this morning & the past few mornings we've actually heard birds singing ♥
Your spring decorations are just what I would have envisioned you would do! I love the birch round. I love those trees. We don't have anything like that. Some paperbark birch have been planted , but don't grow here. Still, I love their trunks. You're such a cool nature girl!
Nice to see bits of green amid the ice and snow.
Spring is around the corner!
The Birch logs are cool. It really adds alot to your decor. Last winter was dry as a bone here this year it's wet. It has rained about once a week here with other days being warm. I've been doing a lot of art this winter happily.
LOVe you xx
Beautiful!
I am returning to my own land of ice and snow this week, wish my poor old thin-blooded self good luck!
Oh, it is so very beautiful, Anna -- I especially love the burlap vase. It's so light and airy, the snow outside is simply a figment!
Loveliest of lovelies!
