A Stance of Hope

I feel blessed for having the many cyber sisters, friends near
and far, a global community of bloggers, all quiet angels
holding me in your thoughts and prayers.
For this reason I feel it's time to share with you
my latest test results.
I have come terms with the diagnosis that once again
I have cancer.
I have Non-Hodgkin's *low-grade lymphoma
not curable but manageable with chemo therapy.
The battle before me will take me on a journey which will
challenge me physically, mentally, and spiritually.
I am choosing the stance of hope towards my diagnosis.
I've been dealt a hand and now I play out those cards
with an attitude to win at living!
I will keep my focus on joys and blessings
and the feeling of connection to my world and
the wonderful rhythms of my life.
My blog will continue to provide a peaceful place of respite for
me and anyone who needs it.
Photos and content with emphasis on nature allows me to
appreciate the reality, truth, and beauty
of the world around me.
I am deeply grateful to the many cyber friends who
held me in prayer or sent healing energy.
My abiding appreciation to everyone who generously sent
prayer flags and creative encouraging messages
*by mail or posted in comments.
You are truly my quiet angels
With God's love and your continued support
my thoughts are of hopefulness & healing
with emphasis on inner peace.
sending big hugs to you all

Lavender

I invite you to slow down and take a deep breath..
Today's flower is Lavender

Lavender
considered both calming and curative..
adding it in sachet's to a bath gives one a spa-like experience!

Bluish-purple blooms enrich my garden and
with the brush of my hand the spikey flowers release
its heavenly scent!
Beloved by bees and butterflies and me
but
did you know it's shunned by *deer and *rabbits

Harvesting flowering stems encourages vigorous growth
and continued blooms. Late in the morning after
the dew has dried I bundle up stems and hang upside down.
The heady fragrance invites me to
take in a deep breath...ahhh!
After a week or so I'm ready to fill up lavender sachets
to tuck into my drawers and closets..
did you know it's a natural moth repellent

Splendor of the Grass

With undesirable grey skies
I allow the camera lens to focus on the splendor of the
quiet grassy landscape
not marred by urban development.

Creative Idea

Shipwreck:: Skywatch

Grey skies set the mood for this shipwreck..
beached. stranded. abandoned.
all good descriptions for a vessel when in its prime sailed
away with the wind at its sails..
perhaps leaving a maiden or two waiting for its return.

Peaceful Energy

"attract only peace into your life..

smile.. show kindness.. love nature..

dream.. imagine..

plant flowers.. create energy that lifts you!"

My playful little Babie with her gentle purrs..
reverts back to a predator when let loose in
my peaceful garden... she brings me peace.

Mystery of Nature

Today's Flower
an interesting natural photographic subject
Not a flower but a mysterious plant..
lacking chlorophyl relying on organic matter for nutrition..
living off decaying wood chips breaking down organic
matter into useful nutrients for the garden soil.

early morning tiny shoots bursting into life appear
pushing up towards the light..

a cluster of transparent umberellas..
I like to think it was a gathering of dancing fairies
who left their little silvery umberellas which kept the
dewdrops off their wings!

when the sun appears..
quickly they fold up and disappear!

Reaching Out

"Fear is always an anticipation of what has not
yet come. Our fear and separation are great,
but the truth of our connection
is greater still"

After hearing the grave diagnosis that I have
a fist size mass in my abdomen and that I have
lymphoma I reached out to you in a post HERE.
I asked that you place me on your prayer list because
I believe in the Power of Prayer!
You responded with an outpouring of compassionate action
with encouraging words, prayers, healing energies, emails,
phone calls, lit candles.. all directed my way.
With your strong support I was able to stand tall deflecting
the fear and overwhelming anxiety.
With your prayers I have been able to bravely look fear in
the face and NOT give it energy allowing my body mind and
spirit to be less reactive to the upsetting diagnosis.
I am as well my family, deeply touched and grateful to the
extraordinary bloggers, friends, strangers,
people who I've never met..
who cared enough to send a healing light my way!
YOU have proved beyond measure, the beauty of human
compassion that we have for one another within
this blogging community!
Together we've proved that Prayers and having Faith are powerful!
Miracles can happen!

Happy Feet and Good news!
I recieved my recent catscan report and the mass which
showed up in a previous ultra-sound is
***NO LONGER THERE!***
Apparently the angle in which the ultra-sound was taken
the catscan identified it as only being*a shadow!
There was never a mass! The ultra-sound report was misread!
There is still concern for my enlarged spleen..
4 x's it's normal size so I had a bone marrow biopsy done
to confirm or rule out lymphoma.
I'm having a few more tests taken but feel so relieved and
filled with HOPE!
I sure feel a huge weight lifted off me!
Thank you all for holding out your hands to me..
I feel so blessed.
I ask that you continue praying for me.
::
I am sharing my journey with you to give insight, HOPE and
encouragement to anyone who is experiencing illness or
a desperate situation and needs
inspiration, healing and a feeling of wholeness.
With a loving heart I embrace each one of you!

In The Pink

I still have frilly Pinks in my garden so
today I'm joining Beverly and all the gals who are
in the pink on Pink Saturday!

The peony is one of my favorite flowers!
I still have peonies in my garden waiting to exhale.

There is no such thing as overindulgence when
it comes to peonies!

After all the beauty of this flower is in her exquisite frills!

Soon to be a matter of memory in my garden but..

Oh how she gives me such Joy..
from the beginning to the end of her performance!

with your heart"
