Beautiful pink roses! Roses are my long-time favorite too. I remember in the 70's when everyone liked Daisies, I loved the rose.

You asked about starting perennial sweetpeas, whether it's too late. I would ask a nursery person in your area, as perennials may be quite differently handled than annuals. Let us know how that goes.
Of all the stunning roses in the world, I think the pale pink and delicate apricot shades are my favourites with all their differnet scents and and shades. Your Roses are just lovely, as are you my dear. You are so often in my thoughts.

I agree, form, color, scent, they are just about the perfect flower. I am cutting mine back now because of the Japanese beetle invasion. No point letting them bloom only to be destroyed. I hope you never have that problem in your area.

my neighbor has incredible roses and enters them in contests and usually wins or second. i enjoy watching them, they are truly very special. your roses are gorgeous.

I can no longer garden anymore, but I still have my beautiful hardy shrub roses - 6 in all. All of them were bred in Morden - I'm sure you know where that is - so I knew when I bought them they would be hardy in our ND winters. (I think your Ontario climate is actually better than ours here).
My roses are all in bloom now - one light pink, a white, a yellow, two hot pink and a red. They give me so much pleasure.
