The Soul of a Peony

Heaven scent
"M. Jules Elie"

A sign that the fragrant Peony will soon burst open..

one of Mother Natures finest creations..

blossoming from the earth
using only water and sun to provide me with..

the pleasures of her elegant beauty..

so deliciously fragrant!

plucked from the garden and transplanted
into decorative ambience's indoors

I'm sure you would agree that I'm a frill seeking
peony type of girl!

Garden Party

Today the first day of Summer
the stars in my garden..
the Peony are dressed in their frills!

I will delight your senses by serving up Peonies

hosta leaves with peonies

teapots filled to the brim with peonies

vases with bouquets of peonies

Overflowing with ruffled double rose peonies
this bush put on a spectacular show this year!
Having an abundance of blossoms I filled every nook and
corner of my home with peony arrangements..
before it dropped its petals from the rain all week.

Located on the other side of my garden
pink "Monsieur Jules Elie"
is beginning her show!

Heart touching glorious perfume rich frills!
I am an eternal peony type of girl..
My next post I will show you
the soul of the Peony!

Sky Watch

Visit Tom the host of Sky Watch
at Wigglers World for details of how
YOU can participate and see skies
from around the globe.
~
My sky watch this past week..

photo taken last night at 9 p.m.
Summer Solstice today - the longest day

before the storm
all week our skies have had storm clouds..
NOT great for a gal who suffers from migraines

after the storm
skies still grey and headache disappears

a rainbow appears..

soft sweet murmurings from a cooing dove
perched on a branch against a blue cloudy sky!
I'm a blue sky kind of girl
~
*Tomorrow Saturday I will feature a garden party
celebrating Summer sky!

Kathy Wade

To watch her unfurl..

is as awe-inspiring and breathtaking..

as her fleeting beauty

Hybrid Tea Rose "Kathy Wade"
She fills my heart as I wander among clusters of blooms,
her soft petals giving off a fruity fragrance.

Look closely into the face of a flower..

and see a miracle!

Casting Their Spell

Clematis ~Henry~
Its alluring beauty is one of many flowers that
cast their spell as I wander about my garden seeking
some quiet moments

Take a close look into the deep blue face of
the exquisite flower spiderwort

marvel at the charming flowers
of the creeping thyme

squat down and inspect a tiny weed..
its flower a symbol of hope.
Yes one can believe in the absolute beauty of nature
just by wandering amongst the flowers!

Extravagant Frills

A divine extravagance of frills
and yet the one bud tucked under, has
a quality of innocence of its own.

Peony ready to burst
My heart leaps up when I behold this riot of activity!
Their fragrance swirls around me ..
a total feast for my senses!
Yes I am a ~frill seeker~ and I've waited a year
to see my extravagant frills!

Paisley's lesson today is the art of enjoying catnip!

"Oh yes.. sniff sniff.. catnip!"
Babie watches patiently and learns.

Lots of yummy catnip!

"Lip smacking catnip..

No need to wait until this is planted."

"mmm... it is wonderful!"
Babie experiences fresh catnip for the very first time.
