What a beautiful sun flower, especially needed today in England as it is one of those grey, rainy days.

When I visualize the sunflower I see Giovanna {Sophia Loren} walking through endless fields of sunflowers hopeful in finding her lover. Sunflowers are the essence of powerful energy. They are one of my favorite flowers to grow in the garden and when one sets their eye upon them they can only but make them smile.

It always amazes me, the sunflower. What a statement it makes amongst other flowers that usually hug the ground or at best get a couple feet tall in the stem. But the sunflower. What a magnificent species it is.

Once when I was on a hike in Washington state, I came upon a field of sunflowers. It was so fantastic! The brightness all around me! I didn't have a camera with me that day unfortunately...

Your sunflower is beautiful.

Sunflowers are a ray of sunshine, one I can use on this dull, cold day. They make a real statement in the garden don't they..!

~~~WOOHOO !!~~
What shall we do now? Leap tall buildings in a single bound ? Fly across the universe ? Stomp on Old GW's head ? hahha. Sorry, got carried away. Forgive me if you are still a supporter...! Don't hold it against me !
Love this photo. Love Sunflowers!
How can you NOT ?
Ohh, the deer love them too.
They never last long in our yard.
Between that and the birds and squirrels. How is it you are keeping yours so nicely ? Maybe you had to be QUICK and already you are defending it from the prey ?
Off to see that darling kitty post below this....Love, S.
Hi, we are back.
Your sunflower has a lot of energy, when I enlarge it!
Is this one you grew yourself? I planted a bunch of them last year along my fence line - I thought it would make an attractive screen between us and my 'evil' neighbor - unfortunately, our northern latitude sun, which never actually reaches zenith but travels lower in the sky, tracks on the evil-neighbor's side - so *they* got all the flower heads facing their yard. I just got their backs. Serves me right, I guess. :-)
There really IS energy in flowers, if a person is tuned to the right frequency. Thanks for the picture.
