Meandering Walkway

One of two entries into my garden.
This meandering walkway allows easy access to the garage
to retrieve necessary tools for garden maintenance.
At the end of the walkway an exhibit of fragrant lavender,
viburnum, summer phlox and "Annabelle" hydrangea,
just to name a few. All are soon to bloom into colors of pink,
purple, blue, and white!
Behind the bench you can see how the Redosier dogwoods
have filled in anchoring the space and adding depth.
The mirror on the fence is barely visible.

Here I like to meditate next to the pond.
The trickling water calms my mind and is deeply relaxing!
Paisley with all her sweetness and charm certainly agrees!
The iron ornamentation on the right was one of
my purchases at Winter Wheat.

*Compare to May 8-"Coming Alive" post...you can see what a
difference a month makes!

Oh yes a month makes a big different! It's so sad I can't have a neighbour like you to my right side! I love the photo with Paisley on the beautiful stone bench most. Love the watering can, the rusty figure and your other rusty iron stuff!

Well NG never mind see the difference in a month, my gosh I was just there a week ago and I can't get over how much it has grown. Still can't decide which side I like more. Meditation or memory?Mmmmm...why choose I love them both. TWT

If you are not reffering to Japanese Maple directly behind bench the only other red you see a bit of is, "Barberry" (red shrub)I keep it clipped low..yes it adds a punch of color!

Paisley, or Poppy, I think it's my black cat, JET on the bench! Hey we three all have black cats! What an amazing link! But yes, I agree that YOU have the bestest of back yards!!!

I think we have many links yet undiscovered. "Journeys" in life of all sorts. I read your Solid ground entry, how wonderful for you to get thru all that! Wow!

Love the photos, love the peacefulness of the yard!

each time I visit you, I just sigh at your gorgeous garden. Love the name Paisley too. If I ever get another cat, it will be black, cause I am a witch ;) - wonder what I could call her (it would be a gal cat) . I am so looking forward to getting to know you much more through our blogs xoxo

I love the look of that cedar next to the potato stone. It really sticks in my mind. I might have to borrow that idea someday.

Your garden is so well designed. Such a peaceful place to spend some time.
